Kahn
& Goldberg, LLP is a law firm engaging in the general practice
of law, with concentrations in commercial litigation, residential
and commercial real estate transactions, corporate and contract
law, matrimonial and family law, gay and lesbian family law, and
wills and related documents. The practice areas listed below are
some concentrations of the practice, and do not represent all the
services the firm provides.

Commercial Litigation: The
firm litigates a wide variety of lawsuits involving contracts,
corporations, partnerships and other business entities in both
New York State Courts and Federal Courts.

Residential and Commercial Real Estate Transactions:
The firm handles purchases and sales (closings), financings and
re-financings of houses, condominiums, co-operative apartments
and commercial properties. We also handle foreclosure matters
and receiverships and are frequently appointed by the Courts to
work on such matters.

Corporate and Contract Law:
The firm drafts and negotiates a broad variety of business contracts,
including purchase and sales agreements, employment agreements,
consultants’ agreements, non-compete agreements, and severance
agreements. The firm also forms, organizes, and amends corporations,
partnerships, limited liability companies, and limited liability
partnerships; and drafts, revises and negotiates shareholders’,
operating, employment and buy-sell agreements.
- Matrimonial
and Family Law: The firm handles a wide range of
matrimonial and family law matters, including prenuptial and postnuptial
agreements, contested and uncontested divorce and separation actions,
and modification proceedings.

Gay and Lesbian Family Law:
The firm handles all aspects of gay and lesbian family law, including
living-together agreements, dissolution agreements, second-parent
adoptions, custody disputes and property disputes.

Wills and Estates Probate:
The firm drafts wills, health care proxies, living wills, and
powers of attorney for married and non-married couples and individuals.
The firm also handles probate and other estate matters in the
New York State Surrogate’s Court.
- Mediation:
In addition to the above areas, Michele is available to mediate
family and business disputes. We encourage our clients to consider
alternative dispute resolution instead of litigation when appropriate.
